 "Web-based Resources for Continental Margins Biogeochemical Research and Education" are open for public access at: http://cmtt.pangaea.de/ and http://cmtt.tori.org.tw/, sponsored by IGBP, IMBER, LOICZ, NCU, SCOR, TORI and WDC-MARE at MARUM.
The web-site is expanded from the electronic supplements to a new IGBP book for global change research just published by Springer "Carbon and Nutrient Fluxes in Contintental Margins - A Global Synthesis" edited by K.L. Liu, Larry Atkinson, Renato Quinones, Liana Talaue-McManus.
The web-site suports the activities of the new Continental Margins Task Team, co-sponsored by IMBER and LOICZ. It provides bathymetry maps of more than 100 continental margins around the world, a bibliography for many of the margins and a glossary of scientific terms and abbreviations among other items. It also provides links to relevant research projects and biogeochemical information of shelf and coastal systems.
