Crafoord Days 2010: Geosciences

crafoord-prize.jpgThe Crafoord Prize in astronomy and mathematics, biosciences, geosciences or polyarthritis research is awardedby the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences annually according to a rotating scheme. The prize amount of USD 500,000 makes the Crafoord Prize one of the world's largest scientific prize. The Crafoord Prize of 2010 will be awarded in geosciences and will be announced on 21 January 2010.

 

10 May 2010 - Crafoord Symposium in geosciences

 

An international Crafoord prize symposium will be held at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, Stockholm. Program and registration will be available in February at http://kva.se and www.crafoordprize.se.

 

11 May 2010 - Crafoord Prize awarding ceremony

 

Prize awarding ceremony at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, presented by His Majesty the King of Sweden.

 

12 May 2010 - Crafoord Lecture

 Prize lecture in Lund at the GeoBiosphere Science Centre. More information will be available in February at http://kva.se and www.crafoordprize.se.
