The Thirteenth Session of IOC/WESTPAC Coordinating Committee for the Northeast Asian Regional-Global Ocean Observing System (NEAR-GOOS-CC XIII) will be held in Vladivostok, Russia, 8-10 April 2010, at the kind invitation of the V.I.Il’ichev Pacific Oceanological Institute (POI), Far Eastern Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences.  

The objectives of this meeting will be to review the status of NEAR-GOOS and progress made during the inter-sessional period; exchange information on related programmes in this region; identify possible areas in cooperation with other Regional programmes; and follow up activities towards the goals of NEAR-GOOS in its second phase as provided in its Strategic Plan.
