GOOS at 2010 Ocean Sciences Meeting

agu_osm_2010.jpgThe IOC encourages submssions from scientists with new and exciting results derived from observationsmade in the context of the Global Ocean Observing System for a session on "Science in Support of Operational Oceanography". Keith Alverson of IOC and Paul M. DiGiacomo of NOAA will be convening the session during the 2010 Ocean Sciences Meeting taking place 22-26 February 2010 in Portland, Oregon.

 

The IOC is also seeking nominations for suggested dynamic and high-profile speakers who hae made excellent scientific contributions in this field and should be invited to present their more recent work. Such nominations should be made directly to the conveners and no later than 15 August 2009.

 The deadline to submit an abstract is 15 October 2009 - 2359 Eastern Daylight Time.

Late submissions will not be accepted. In making abstract submissions, please reference session number IT48. Students and scientists from low-income countries with contributions to share in this field are also strongly encouraged to submit their abstracts.
